You know that feeling when you get a bit bored with doing the same old shots at the bar with your mates every weekend? Well, when you’ve had just about enough of knocking back the standard tequilas, whiskies, brandies, Sambucas or Jagerbombs you might well want to give Bacardi’s new hot and spicy Carta Fuego rum a run for its money.
That’s right. Bacardi’s finally ditched its old-school image of being a spirit that your old man might drink by the pool in Lanzagrotty and, in its first image makeover in over a decade, is taking aim at the lucrative and fast-growing shots market.
A cheeky new school heat kick
The cheeky new school heat kick and infused herbs and spices is what sets Carta Fuego apart from the normal Bacardi and Coke of old, with the company claiming that “each sip is smooth but finishes with a kick of heat… crafted with the true passion of Maestros de Ron Bacardi, every bit of the brand’s 153 years of craft and experience is apparent when you enjoy your first taste.”
(It certainly is! *hic).
Fuego is, obviously, Spanish for ‘fire’ and this new firewater from Bacardi certainly warms the cockles due to the strong infused blends of cinnamon and nutmeg in this spicy, delicately aged red-hued rum.
And if you’re sat at your desk reading this – and not really in a position to knock back a cheeky spiced rum, then check out #BringTheHeat on Twitter to see Bacardi’s rather awesome super slo-mo 2000fps promo vid for Carta Fuego.
BACARDÍ Carta Fuego is now available in major supermarkets and pubs and bars throughout the UK. Fuego has an RRP of £21.00 for a 70cl bottle. You can head to bacardi.com for tons of splendid rum and cocktail recipes.
